Notes: homeless shelter for women. $2 3 meals/day for anyone Had a really good conversation about how they try to tell the stories of people there – talked about how it helps them build compassion. Last videographers changed careers – they've self-produced some things, but she thinks it would be better to hire professionals. Sent her an email last week, her boss schedueld a call for Wednesday...? Work: (616) 454-1661 x213 Cell: (630) 835-6398
3 interviews now

Alan - "Story is not as strong" but is part of community care committee

Interviews in different locations
Wants to see bakery, dégagé, see sign at night as the sun rises.
Think we're just doing the Celebrate Dégagé.
Send bob 3 time blocks, he'll pick out the who and where for each one.
Do a few short, 3-minute videos every year.
Sometimes they hire someone to do it, sometimes they do it themselves. When they do it themselves, he films it on his iPhone and do it in iMovie.
"Always looking for new resources"
Next big event is this fall.
3-minute video where they highlight one or two people and share there story
Shoot a combination of on-location (if they have a job, or etc.)
A variety of B-Roll
"Pretty Simple"
Goal: "Tears & Money" – want to tell a compelling story that brings awareness of the problem. Features somebody who broke through the challenges (share success stories). Want to show that they are a "ministry," and when they show the videos they hope that it moves people to give money.
Share a story that shows what the ministry is; moving where you want to act and give money. "If people get real emotional when they see it, that's great."
"What do you think makes your past videos powerful"
When we get someone who is willing to be vulnerable; talk about the dark stuff. Where you can tell its hard, emotional. Then talk about Dégagé.
Next event is in November; they tend to "cut it kinda close"
For sake of this, let's say 1 interviewee
They usually provide all the questions – but we can branch off or ask in different ways.
Likes that we're a "smaller" organization and that we're "local"
